Dental Implants

David H. Gilbert DDS, MS, MBA, FACS, where exceptional care and experience combine.

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are tiny titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. Just like the root of a natural tooth, the implant bonds with the jawbone, creating a strong, sturdy foundation for replacement teeth

Once the post is placed, the crown (visible tooth) can be attached to the implant, recreating the natural structure and functionality of the original tooth.

Why Are Dental Implants Better?

Over the years, multiple procedures and prosthetics have been developed to replicate missing teeth, but none have been more successful than Dental Implants.

Dentures and bridges are common due to their low upfront cost but may not be a good value considering maintenance and replacement costs over time. Dental Implants are designed to last a lifetime and provide superior comfort compared to other tooth replacement options.
